I dropped my dog off for boarding for the first time. After picking her up after 5 days...at first she seemed okay, but then by night she was nervous and drooling and licking constantly, having a hard time swallowing. I called to tell them how weird she was being and that I was bringing her to an emergency vet after this had gone on for 6 straight hours. They did NOT call me back. I called the next night when the same thing started to happen again, AT NIGHT. They again, did NOT call me back. So I called them again this morning...and was given the worst customer service imaginable. No help. No "notes". They have cameras to watch them. "I don't know" "There's nothing we can do". But you know, there WAS something they could do. When I dropped her off the lady behind the desk and I were discussing pricing and she asked if I wanted to give my dog any play times, and I asked if it was going to be extra money and she said NO. When I got the bill I paid for it, and as I got home I noticed the charge for playtimes being $25 of my bill...so I was definitely lied to. Now, I understand my dog was nervous and maybe they couldn't tell how she was acting from the cameras if she was just laying there drooling and not up and pacing...but the bare minimum level of customer service I expected was to not be lied to...and not be told "there's nothing we can do" when clearly you could have refunded me the playtime money I was lied to about. Imagine this is your child, and you drop them off for daycare and want more information and they can't give you any, lie to you about pricing, and then brush you off like your $240 meant nothing. Worst customer service I've had in a long time. I will NOT be bringing my dog back there and will be finding a new vet ASAP. Very unsatisfied customer here. I thought these guys cared about dogs. Now I feel very differently after the blase customer service with no answers. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I was taking my dog here for routine care and was very happy with the vets and the care he was getting. Friendly and spent time with my dog. Had no problem getting my dog in for appointments at times that were convienent for me...
Until my dog was sick. They would not make an appointment for him and said I needed to take him to the emergency room. Going by my dog's symptoms this didn't seem accurate to me. If I really felt it was an emergency I most certainly would have taken him there. I called another highly reputable vet office to see what they thought. They disagreed with this office and made an appointment for him the same day. It ended being single gastritis and was treated with me issues.
This place is good for routine care but not if you have an emergency.

I would like to start the review with pointing out that the vet we saw, Dr. Tuma, was very good. She was courteous, and very good with our dog. She made quick work of the appointment, got us what we needed and we were on our way no muss no fuss. She didn't try to make the appointment more work than it needed to be, and didn't try to recommend all sorts of crazy testing for a simple ear infection.

With that said, the rest of the visit was interesting. We walked in to a slightly chaotic scene. The ladies behind the front counter seemed to be flooded and were running around like they had no direction. But even through the crazy, they were still polite and well mannered. A few of the workers though (I assume work over in the day care part) I couldn't actually tell if they worked there the way they were dressed (VS yoga pants and hoodies rather than scrubs or logo polo shirts). There was a pair of intact male dogs wandering around, unleashed and owner-less. They kept coming into the waiting area "greeting" people unsupervised. One of them actually nearly left the building when another pet parent came in. One of the employees kept showing up trying to get them under some semblance of control, but I'm pretty sure they were just free roaming the building. I almost didn't notice the cat taking a nap on top of the benches until it stretched out.

Price wise, It was about the same as my normal vet. I only made an appointment with this office because I had been told they're cheaper than most of the "nicer" vets offices in the area. Call me cheap, but I didn't want to spend $300 on 10 minuets and a bottle of antibiotics. I spent probably the same I would have anyways.

They do have later hours though than my normal vet, which can come in handy if you work a 9-5.

Drove out of the way because you listed as open on several options online. Had to find another place that was open for our beloved dying kitty.

If you love your pet- find a different vet!

I would NEVER recommend this place to any one that loves their pet! I left my dog in their care after being injured. He was left unattended and passed away. The next day when I called 4 hours after they opened to come pick him up, they rudely said: "you dog is dead." No one called to tell me, I had to call them! When I went to pick his body up, the staff was rude and cold. As I walked into the office I was handed a bill and argued with until I paid it in full, before even being allowed to see my dog. His personal belongings were thrown in the trash before I even got there. The "doctor" had the nerve to tell me that when I got another pet, he wanted to be our vet. Disgusted by the entire facility, all staff included.

To all previous clients of Animal Kindgom, you will be beyond excited to learn that Dr John Davis has re-opened the hospital and is back seeing small animals again. He is the original owner of the hospital and with Dr Swanson filing bankruptcy he has it back,Yeah!

He has lowerd prices and expanded hours to include nights and weekends and see's emergencies himself if possible and not on horse calls.

The hospital has a new name of CNY Vet Services @Animal Kingdom, but the phone is the same.
