First Church of the Nazarene

I love this church. I have been going there for a while now with my grandpa. They don't switch classes on age, they switch it on grade. The prechoolers go to there area while Kinder garden and 1st grade go somewhere, 2nd and 3rd, 4th and 5th go somewhere else to. I just got into middle school so I would first go to the adult church for first survice and the epicenter for second. While I was in 5th grade I had diffrent teachers than I have now. And they do make sure you checked out the right child. Pastor Ed checks their sticker and calls the child/children up. I enjoy this church. Its somewhere I can see my freinds, have fun, and learn about God.

this place is just o.k. i dont think it's all as bad as the first review but i don't think it's the perfect place my daughter either. but i have no choice but to work fulltime and not a lot of time to look for other alternatives. i've seen better but also worse.

i love this daycare! my son is very happy there. he is always in a good mood when i pick him up and thats what matters to me the most. i dont care if the carpets are not spotless (my carpets are not spotless). i think its a over all very warm daycare. and they do a wonderful job!

I agree with the other mom's comment about the t.v room, all the teacher turnover and the moving up of the children way before their b-day's but otherwise it's been pretty good. I have both my son and daughter there. There are things that bother me but I guess not enough to change daycares. But then again it's the only one I've ever had my kids at so it's all I know. I do like my kids current teachers. I just hope they stick around.

This is not a 3-star center and it shows. The director is a warm and caring lady, the rest of the staff is just so-so. Most of the teachers smoke because you can smell it on their clothing when you drop your children off. The carpets are dirty in all the rooms and need to be cleaned or replaced. There is no consistent structure. The kids over 2 years of age go into a "TV room" in the morning until their regular teacher arrives, and then back into the "TV room" after their regular teacher leaves. Children of all ages are in this room and there is usually only 1 teacher present. The room is loud and chaotic. All children, 1 year and older nap together in a large gym area on mats on the gym floor. The do not sleep in their individual classrooms. The gym is kept very dark for nap time and it was scary for my child. All children over 1 year old also go into a kitchen area for snacks and lunch instead of eating in their individual classrooms. The ratios are maxed out. There is only one teacher in each class room with the max amount of children that the state will allow. And children are moved up to the next age group well before their birthday. The staff turnover is very high. Also, there is no entry security system in place and no video cameras. You (or anyone else) can just open the door and walk right in. Also, the sign in and out policy is very relaxed, no one notices if you don't sign your child in or out. I would not recommend this center to anyone. I do not believe they mis-treat the children and they have a nice playground but those are the only two positive things I can say. I placed my child there because it is a church and they have been in business a long time but soon after I took my child out and found a better option.
