Clare Animal Hospital

I have had nothing but excellent service at Clare Animal Hospital. I have found the staff to be compassionate and wonderful with both of my dogs, and they even kept one of them there so that I didn't have to drive to Clare twice in one day from Mt. Pleasant. My younger dog had surgery there done by Dr. Gaw, and it saved his life. I have used several veterinary clinics in my life, and this is one of the best. They are professional and talented, listen to a client and are honest and very fair in their billing practices. This is an excellent veterinary practice.

Be sure you get an estimate in writing BEFORE they treat your pet. In fact, when they have you sign the estimate, make sure they take the sheet off their clip board so you can see the whole estimate and get a copy for yourself right then. Initial beside each item so you can tell which services you requested. It is amazing that we spoke about which services I wanted yet when I went to pick up my pet, quite a few unneeded services were added and they said I confirmed those services on the estimate sheet. I tried to convey that we didn't talk about those services and I shouldn't have to pay for them but they had the estimate sheet with services checked off that I never agreed to. So, be very careful; it felt like a bait and switch. The sad part about this whole matter is that I was a loyal customer for over 9 years but no longer. I will not be treated so rudely and told that I must have misunderstood. The new staff seems unprofessional and inexperienced.

Took cat for yearly routine care. Within a couple of hours, brought her home, and buried her in the backyard. Not sure what they did to her, but never going back.

If i could give the clare animal hospital i would because the service i recieved from them was a joke first off when my mother in law went to pick them up they basically threw one into her arms because they had to go back and clean the other because she had messed on herself because she was upset we had left on top of that they never called to tell us how they were doing so when my wife took them to our vet the surrey road vet that is a very respectable vet and the staff there is very friendly they informed her that the clare animal hospital had been broken into over the weekend and when we asked the clare animal hospital about they said yes and they "were pretty sure nothing happened to our animals" thats very reassuring not i am very dissapointed with there service and will never go there again!!
