Cicero Public Pool

It's a small pool, but there's a nice slide and diving board. Not the nicest restrooms, but really what do you expect? There is a small concession area. Lifeguards seem fairly attentive. Overall, a good option if you want to visit a pool without breaking your bank.

The Cicero pool is a wonderful place for families and is fun for everyone! The lifeguards are always very friendly and attentive. They definitely do their jobs and insure that all children are being safe while swimming. The rules are consistently being enforced, so there is no need to worry about the safety of this pool. The pool deck and bathrooms are always clean, you can tell the lifeguards take good care of it. The overall quality of the facility is much better than in years past due to the wonderful new management! I highly recommend this pool to all families who are looking for a safe yet fun experience.

I have been going to the Cicero pool for 18 years and I can promise you that the new management is a Godsend! I learned how to crawl at this pool and it is so refreshing to see it being run with such dedication. The lifeguards are constantly supervising the children and looking out for their well being. We need to realize that the lifeguards are there to make sure the children are safe. It is not, however, a lifeguards job to parent. As the name of the job so eloquently refers to, a lifeguard is there to guard lives. This is a public pool not a babysitting service. It is truly a wonderful place to bring the family for some quality(and safe) summer fun!

The Cicero pool is being run better than it ever has! The lifeguards are doing their jobs to perfection! There are no rules for holding on to ladders or sitting in an unused slide during parents swim. children do run and have the whistles blown at the constantly -it's their PARENTS JOB at that point to notice the bad behavior of their child! I've been coming to the Cicero pool for 8 years and it's the cleanest and safest it's ever been!!!

The lifeguards are not doing their jobs anymore, in my opinion. They are way to lenient with the rules. For example, there are children hanging off ladders and the rope. There are also kids that sit on the edge of the diving board and in the slide. When kids jump off the diving board, they are jumping on top of people and pulling them under. There are also kids sitting in the middle of the slide during the adult swim break. There have been more than one kid on the diving board at once. Everywhere I look there are children running and jumping on top of each other. None of these things were allowed when I was younger. This pool is not what it used to be. It's a shame.
