Panhandle Veterinary Services

I have been using Panhandle Vet since 1988, and have always had the best care and concern for my pets. They are the best especially Dr. Lindholm, she is outstanding.

I had taken my beloved pet to Panhandle Veterinary Services yesterday for his final moments of life. There was nothing they could do for him, he was 14 years old and very sick. I, along with many others, was looking for a peaceful, humane end. I got the complete opposite. They had given Beau, my blue nose pit, something to put him to sleep. My husband and I stayed with him to comfort him while he fell asleep. We were asked to leave the room while he was being euthanized, and was told they would get us when it was over. After about 5 minutes they told us he was ready to be taken to our vehicle to be taken home. As my husband took him out in his blanket and placed him in the back of our vehicle, he started gasping for breath!!!! My husband and I both lost it. My mother ran in to let them know that he was not completely dead. They all ran outside to complete the process. While this was going on, my husband, my mother and myself was beside ourselves. These people that call themselves vets, did not try to console us or even talk to us!!! The only words they had for us is to stop yelling and they knew this could happen, they should have kept him back there longer. They don't understand, nor do they care about any animals, or the family to which they were apart of. I will never take another pet to this place again!!!! I would not give them the 1st star, but had to give them at least 1 to be able to post a review.
