Genny's Family Restaurant

My family ate breakfast there yesterday, 6-14-2014 and we all loved it... FOOD and SERVICE was great !!!! normally the comments you get are from complainers so for those who have experienced good food and service need to speak out because people read the reviews and make decisions based on what others say.

WORST spent $78.00 plus tip ever! The kids free meal w/purchase was a peanut butter & jelly sammie w/french fries. Sorry but that is NOT a meal! Ordered the Spicy catfish strips w/slaw & fries. Got black pepper coated fish chunks that were inedible. Father-in-law ordered pulled pork sammie that was flavorless. Paid $3.99 each for CANNED kids spaghetti & meatballs, FROZEN pizza & CANNED raviolis that looked & tasted like they can from the clearance isle of the dollar store...very very gross. Paid $7.47 for 1 adult & 2 kids lemonades. Complained about the catfish & got shrimp instead but by the time they arrived everybody was ready to go so i boxed it up. The sign said it has been serving HOME COOKED meals since 1976...hate to say this but that was prob the only year it was served. I would give it ZERO stars if i could it was that bad! Our RV bathroom was pretty busy that evening!

My family and I stopped into this restaurant craving some good home style cooking. I would have been satisfied with mediocre food and friendly service. I would have been okay with edible food and not being treated like I didn't matter at all. When I received my food after waiting 45 minutes it was poorly microwaved and clearly out of a box or can. I ate two bites of my eggs and one bite of my biscuit and payed 30 dollars to leave the rest of the food on the table. The "kind" owner was willing to re-microwave my breakfast but not reimburse me in any way. Don't let him rip you off too...find a real restaurant of microwave your own breakfast.
