Kwando Buffet

My husband is taken by the grill foods at the hibachi grill. He's kind of an expert judging them. I head straight for the buffet and salad bar. Their coconut shrimp is to die for, the seafood salad is my second favorite and they have a mocha cake on the dessert menu that will make your mouth water. The fresh fruit really polishes it all off. Go, eat, enjoy...

My favorite Chinese restaurant in Chico! I love their Hibachi Grill and Sushi Buffet! My family always eats here especially on special occasions. I’m happy with their customer service and the foods they served are really fresh! My go to Chinese food and Japanese sushi in town! Always satisfies my Cravings!

Even there are new Chinese Buffet restaurant in town, this is the BEST for me! This is our go to Chinese restaurant and sushi cravings! They have a very friendly staff and very decent ambience conducive for family gathering and birthday celebrations. And also, I like to support local owners in Chico than other franchise restaurants.

This Restaurant is awesome!!!! They have my husband's Favorite...Frog Legs !!! They have great seafood, the Salt and Pepper Prawns are so good. The Hibachi Grill is also very good....I like the fact that is seafood in that also, you can't get that at Hulas. We drive from Red Bluff once or twice a month just to go to dinner. Great Food at a reasonable Price !!

My husband loves sushi. Sushi is expensive. I'm not so into sushi, so it is hard for my husband to justify going to a pricey sushi restaurant alone. When we found Kwando about five years ago, right when they opened, it solved all of our sushi woes. My husband can eat as much (fairly decent) sushi as he likes, while my kids and I enjoy the Chinese foods they serve. It is inexpensive and we all love trying all the foods they have. It is one of the best Chinese buffets I have been to, but the food is still buffet quality. It is not mind-blowing, but definitely tasty and worth the price. The salad bar has plenty of fresh fruit for the kids, but the rest of the salad options are a little dismal. I usually skip that section, even though I usually love a salad bar. We also skip the dessert bar (disappointing selection of previously frozen mini-desserts) and opt for the soft serve along side their fresh sugar biscuits. Despite the other reviews, we have only ever received polite and efficient service (aside from waiting for drink refills). We have dined here in large groups and it turned out to be an excellent choice. Definitely check it out if you need to satisfy your sushi and Chinese food craving for cheap!

We have been going to this place for the past 7 years. It had always been a grate place, the sushi is good and the food too. We decided to go and try out the new hibachi grill bar they opened. And it was HORRIBLE the "chef" has the worst attitude in the world. Like the person above me has already say. If you take more than (in our case 1 plate) he yells at you and Will make you pay a good tip. And says that is to much work for him, and starts to talk with the waiters there in their language, with out even know in if you understand what they are saying, about you.

Worst idea they have had, to bring this horrible man in to their restaurant. This was the last time we ate there. And the flavor of the grill bar was horrible to. My oriental style grill food have more flavor than his. All i can say is that if you don't want to have a bad experience Don't Go There!!!!!

They had a new grill that just opened up. Turns out, you can't have more than 2 plates or else the Chef will get in your face and yell at you to GTFO.



They don't refill drinks. They glare at you and give you the check as soon as you sit down.



Worst food ever. Don't go there. The sushi guy always gives a mean look when you grab too many.



Overall, the food is awful, the service is f ucken horrendous, and the chef is a insane. I wanted him to cook 3 pieces of beef, he glared me in the eye and said he cook too much already. In my head, I was like, "b itch, i'm paying ur f ucken salary. give me the services that I paid for and expect for in a "all you can eat" restauraunt."
