Velasquez & Sons Mufflers-Less

I went to Velasquez Mufflers & Brakes at the above location on Monday, July 23, 2018. VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY poor service. I waited 5 hours for them to look at my car. Five hours!!! I have a 2012 Hyundai Sonata I brought in because of a rattling noise in the suspension. Not only they made me wait for five hours, they falsified the information. They informed me I needed two lower control arms at $280.00 each and sway bar links, struts, and sway bar bushings which I had to purchase at the dealership. However; they were willing to replace the 2 lower controls arms which I later found out I did not need. Had a second opinion at Car X and was informed I needed new bolts and pins only. I am convinced that Velasquez Mufflers tried to rip me off! Needless to say, Car X is repairing my vehicle. By the way, Car X took only 3 !/2 hours to repair my vehicle, which included the wait time.

They are not honest with their warranty on parts they purchase and use on your car. I purchased 2 brake rotors from them which have a 2-year manufacturer's warranty - but the could only give me 1-year warranty. Spoke with the manager (Carlos), who said "because we have a commercial account with Advance Auto Parts, they don't give us the same warranty they give to people who don't have a commercial account". Sounds crazy to me so I called Advance Auto Parts Commercial Account who said "it is NOT their policy to give commercial account less of a warranty - it's up to the business". Carlos lied to me and he will tell this lie to anyone when they question the shortened warranty on parts. I asked Carlos what about lifetime warranties the manufacturer gives on certain on parts? He said " they still get 1-year warranty". Stay away from this place - they are scammers!
