        City Foods, Incorporated is a USDA inspected facility, which produces about 400,000 - 500,000 pounds of beef products per week. Most of its volume is in the form of the large quantities of fresh domestic steer navels it bones out daily. The company purchases truckloads of USDA Selected and USDA Choice navels from western United States slaughterers. The company has a crew of highly skilled butchers who bone the fresh, steer navel-short plates to produce high quality fresh and frozen beef 50 percent trimmings, outer skirt steaks, inner skirt steaks, navel pastrami pieces, beef bacon pieces, center cut navel short ribs, rib cap meat, rib finger meat, bones and edible suet. It also bones out large quantities of bone-in briskets, which the company uses to produce its nationally distributed Bea s Best Raw Corned Beef Briskets.

        Great Corned Beef and Fresh Meat

        City Foods has been a Chicago institution for as long as I can remember. They make great deli meats, including Bea's Best corned beef, pastrami, roast beef and more. Their fresh meats, like skirt steaks and short ribs, are so fresh they were probably grazing in the fields a few days before you buy them.
