After a few months in and out of hospitals we finally got our mother admitted to Mercy Rehab and it was simply incredible to see her progress. She went home after a few weeks there and got to enjoy Easter at home with her family. Thank you to all of the nurses, therapists and doctors who helped her along the way.

This is the second time my mother-in-law was admitted to Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital. My wife and I requested she go back to Mercy. It is the best hospital for stroke patients. She made such great progress and was able to come home. The staff were awesome. The nurses were so caring towards my mother-in-law and really made her feel comfortable since we were not able to visit. The therapists called my wife with progress updates which was so comforting and appreciated. She raved about the food, the housekeepers, and all the staff. I would highly recommend Mercy for anyone who needs rehab in St Louis

My mother was a patient at Mercy Rehab for about 2 weeks. She had another stroke and was sent there from Mercy Hospital. She lost function of her right side. I was so concerned with her condition and her mental status. We met a Liaison in the hospital and she gave us hope that she would get the best care at Mercy Rehab. My mother was greeted at the door right off the transport van and taken to a room where the nurses gave her their full attention. I cannot tell you how comforting that was for her. I cannot even begin to tell you how great my mother’s therapists were. She saw a PT, OT and Speech Therapist every day. They worked her out and she made so much progress it was remarkable. One day we were without hope but after just 2 weeks, I saw my mother return to her fun loving self. I cannot tell you how great the food was and friendly the staff in the entire hospital were to both me and my mother. The physicians were great, they were approachable, we saw them daily and they took the time to answer my questions and make me feel better. I would totally recommend Mercy Rehab to everyone, it was a blessing. I want to tell everyone how great this place is.

My husband was a patient at Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital for almost 3 weeks. He had a brain injury as a result of a tumor. It was a very scary time but the staff made both of us feel at ease and care for. There is a tech named Ora that was so wonderful and helped make our stay a little more bright. The therapists and physicians are top notch along with the nursing staff who were patient and kind. We even loved the food. I would recommend Mercy Rehab to everyone.

This is the best place to work. I see miracles happen here everyday. There is no better place for rehab care than Mercy Rehab. Mercy Rehab won a Tier 2 Missouri Quality Award in 2018 for outstanding quality and performance.

This rehab facility is absolutely the best in St. Louis! Beautiful clean facility and great food. They answer call lights very quickly and the nursing staff is attentive and caring. Therapy will work you and get you optimal for discharge.

I deducted a star for dialysis all the dialysis staff was very good except for one nurse that was constantly out smoking during my treatment. My family would see her smoking in her car even! She would ask every nurse that walked in to give her a break and then try to get them to date her son! Aside from this one person Mercy Rehab was stellar!

As a RN for 30+ years I tend to be very critical and the care I Received for over two weeks was excellent. I am only too familier to rehab medicine due to husband having Parkinson's and dementia. The facilities to worry about would really surprise you. and it was NOT

Mercy. I was so sick when I got at Mercy Rehab. and never did it take more than 1 minute to get help. Everyone was cheerful and could not do enough for me. It was such a plesant experience I missed the RNs and PCTs when I got home. PT and O T were dedicated and challanging to me. Always wanting me to improve. To

make a long story short, I was carried in and unable to take care oh myself and left in less than 2 weeks doing my own care and using a walker. Thank you

everyone. You are StarS.

I couldn't disagree more with the negative reviews below! I owe so much to Mercy Rehab, and I don't know where I would be without them! I have a chronic, progressive, degenerative disease, and lost all muscle control in my body during one of my many hospital stays where I came close to death many times in the ICU over the course of several months. I lost the ability to walk, sit, lift my arms, or even lift my head. When I was stable enough to transfer, I transferred to Mercy Rehab Hospital and stayed there for several weeks. After my time there, with the help of amazing doctors, nurses, techs, PT, and OT I was able to sit in a wheel chair, which was a HUGE accomplishment from where I started. It's been almost 2 years since, and during that time I have stayed in constant outpatient therapy at a pediatric rehab hospital(since I'm currently 20). I plan to switch my care back to Mercy Rehab once I reach the age limit at the Pediatric hospital, and I couldn't be in my capable hands for all of my complex needs. My time spent at Mercy Rehab was a breath of fresh air after being in a city hospital for many months, and the staff made all the difference. During my time there I only had one nurse that was an issue, but thankfully only had her for two nights. Everyone else was beyond exceptional and truly cared about me and my family. I am still in contact with many members of the staff I formed friendships with. During my stay, everything was clean, well kept, nurses stayed on top of my med schedule, and followed any guidelines specific to my care flawlessly. I would recommend Mercy Rehab to ANYONE! They deserve more than 5 stars in my opinion, and I couldn't speak more highly of them.

I would not give a rating to t...

I would not give a rating to this facility. We transferred my mother to this facility from St. John's Heart Hospital. The hospital was fantastic, we couldn't ask for better care for our mother. Mercy rehab center is another story.

The staff was not attentive to my mother needs. The treated her as if she was an interruption of their time. They did not follow instructions. Upon assignment of her room, I met with the nurse in charge and went through the instructions for a heart monitor that she to wear for 3 weeks. The transmitter was to be with her when she left her room and the battery on the holter was to be changed daily. This was not done. On Sunday afternoon, the battery had not been changed and they took her out of the room without the transmitter. I once again gave specific instructions which were not followed.

The unit in which my mother stayed, the eating area was fifthy and when they transferred my mother to a room with a monitor, the room was dirty. My sister and her significant other who was at the rehab ctr when they moved her to this other room had to cleaned the room themselves. They also indicated that the staff was unprofessional and when asked for water or something, my sister and mother felt like they were an interruption of staff's time.

My sister and I spoke to the Director of Nursing on Monday. We didn't seemed to get satisfaction regarding our concerns and it seemed like she made excuses for the staff. My brother visited Monday evening and contacted me after he left the hospital. He was under the same impression of the staff, the care our mother was receiving and lack of cleanliness of the ward.

I could go on and on. To make a long story short, my sister, brother and I decided that it was in our mothers best interest to transfer her to SSM Depaul Rehabilitation Center. We had to pay for the ambulance transfer ourselves.

The staff, care of our mother and cleanliness of SSM Depaul Rehaab Ctr is second to none. I don't have to worry if she is being taken care of properly and they immediately got her up, dressed and into therapy the very next morning after her admission.

I would not recommend Mercy Rehab Center to anyone.

Specialized Hospital

The hospital is very nice, but expensive and mostly ofr the wealthy.

Can not keep the beds filled because of it.
