I absolutely ADORE Marina Pointe!! The staff, the community, and the amenities are top notch! The girls in the office are absolutely adorable and a joy to do business with. The maintenance crew is prompt, efficient, and very professional! I will definitely be renewing my lease!!

I am a current resident of Marina Pointe and have to say I have been disappointed since moving in.

Our unit had some maintenance issues we were told would be addressed before our move in. Excessive, almost mold like, build up on the balcony. The latch for the entry door to the unit was not secure, the screws had been stripped from the door. The refrigerator needed to be leveled. Turns out there isn't a level spot in the floor.

Six weeks later with visits to the office, phone calls and emails none of the issues have been addressed.

Parking is an issue as there seem to be more cars than tenants. e have a two bedroom and rent a garage for one of our two cars. That is nice when we the garage isn't blocked by someone when we are leaving for work in the mornings. Again, this has been discussed with the office with no action taken by the property management.

Now we have neighbors downstairs who after midnight each night create excessive noise with their TV and Stereo. They refuse to answer the door when I have gone down to speak with them about the issue. This has been reported to the office and surprise, nothing has been done to resolve the situation.

The property is in a great location and most of our neighbors seem wonderful but the property management is more about sales management and getting units rented than they are about taking care of tenants after you get moved in.

Do NOT live here. My roommates and I loved living at Marina Pointe at first despite having zero cell phone reception inside the apartment. After a while it did get annoying to always have to go outside to make a phone call or receive messages. However, Marina Pointe is under new management who is incredibly unprofessional and rude. They lost our rent money and told us they would call us in a few days to let us know what we needed to do and if they found it. I'm not sure when it became a renter's responsibility to pay rent again because the apartment management team lost our money order that we have a receipt for. We have to call them once a month to come spray our apartment for unbearable mildew. The windows are not sealed properly and they aren't planning on fixing that issue until the end of the summer. So for now they are covered in black mildew along with all of our clothes in the closet because the bathroom does not have proper ventilation and is connected to the closet. My advice would be to steer clear. The apartments look nice and the amenities are tempting, but if you want to ensure that you are taken care of when issues arise I would find another place to live.

If you like paying top dollar for rent and having mold in all your windows, due to poor quality windows and installation. If fighting for a place to park, because there isn't enough for tenants much less for guests. If hearing your upstairs neighbors going to the bathroom appeals to you, than this would be the place for you. When you tour the property make sure you pay close attention to all the rotten woodwork that is supporting those buildings. The clubhouse and office look great, must have put all the quality products there to pull you in

DO NOT RENT HERE! We recently ...

DO NOT RENT HERE! We recently relocated to Chattanooga and needed a short-term rental. We have been home-owners for the past 15 years and are not used to being a tenant, so this is a new experience for us. We debated staying in a hotel, but felt a short-term apartment would be more convenient for us. We signed a 3-month lease for 8/17 - 11/16 and told them verbally when we moved in that we would not be living there for the full 3 months, as we were closing on a house on 10/15. When I called today, 10/4, to confirm the lease termination date and move out date of 11/16, they stated we had to give a 60-day written notice and that we would be obligated for rent through 12/3. This ends up being 2.5 weeks beyond our anticipated lease termination date and over $500 more in rent. This clause is in their 13-page legal size lease agreement, so I understand that they would try to enforce it. (The clause itself is pretty rediculous if you ask me...you have a 3 month lease but have to provide 60 days notice confirming you want to move out at the end of your lease, otherwise you are automatically locked in to a month-to-month situation at a premium charge.) However, we were never told verbally that this would be a requirement when we clearly stated upfront that we were not going to extend beyond the 3 month term prior to moving in. We even called last month to find out if we moved out early, if they would credit us if they leased it to another tenant, and they never once said our vacate notice had to be in writing 60 days in advance. I'm just glad I happened to call 45 days ahead instead of 15 days prior. When we explained our situation and the confusing information we received, I expected an understanding and a willingness to make things right do the confusing information we received from their staff. However, the assistant manager and manager were both rude, arrogant, ignorant and acted like they were above everyone else. I don't understand why...they work at a run down, low class apartment complex. The grounds and common spaces are filthy, people do not pick up after their pets which smells horribly in the heat, and the units smell. There are also bugs everywhere, inside and out. It is next to a nightclub with a lot of motorcycle noise. I think most of the tenants are short-term renters as it seems to have high turnover...and I can't imagine anyone living here long term by choice. You may think it is a good deal or that they are nice when you tour, but you will be sure to have issues with the management at some point. My husband and I are well-educated professionals, and expected to deal with professional level staff...but these people are low-life, uneducated, power-hungry people...that I feel incredibly sorry for. DO NOT RENT HERE! (I do have a phone call out to an attorney to find out about the legality of their clause, since the research I've done says only 30-day written notice is required in TN)

Stay far far away. It is over ...

Stay far far away. It is over priced and if you have a problem good luck getting it fixed. The most attention you get from the office staff is when you take a tour of the apartments. After that they could care less about any problems or concerns you have. The property manager Beverly will lie to your face, and has a I don't care attitude. They need to focus more on keeping their current residents than, trying to get new one's. Every Saturday you see people moving out and once you live there for a few weeks you will understand why. The walls are paper thin, the ceilings are cracking, and parking is absolutely horrible. The so called amenities they have are a nasty over crowded pool, a work out room with broken equipment, and a volleyball court that girls get drunk and pee on. We ignored the reviews and are paying the price, we are counting the days til our lease is up so we can move out of this terrible place.
