Overall
Worst hospital

Absolutely horrendous service. Staff very unfriendly. Waited in the emergency room for 5 HOURS before even seeing ONE person. My girlfriend had to go to the ER due to a severe hematoma from a plasma donation and the needle went too far into her arm and it was a large bruise - so we naturally went to the hospital to have it looked at. The building is unclean, poorly maintained, and poorly staffed. People here seem unprofessional in every way. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU ENJOY BEING TREATED LIKE TRASH

Helpful nurses

After being in many ER's it was a relief to find such helpfulness from this one. Lindsey took really good care of us while we were there. She showed compassion for finding alternative solutions for helping with our breathing machine when it went out

Overall

I am very disappointed in this facility. My son was sent to the Trauma ICU due to a bad fall from a local building where he was doing a Heating & Air Job and from the first day there the nurses, Brain Surgeons, Ortho Surgeons and all staff was very unprofessional in my opinion. My son's accident happened June 6, 2013 and passed away on 06/13/13. The Brain Surgeons were pressuring us to remove my son from the Respirator from day 2 in the Trauma ICU. Everytime we visited at visitation time, they would always says ya'll need to make a decision because He will never be at a Recovery stage. He has multiple Skull Fractures w/Brain swelling, they said every bone in his face was broken and he would never recover. On the 7th day they did a Brain test to prove Brain Dead to remove him from the respirator a girl named Mandy came in right in front of everyone in the room and kept on and on pressuring us to make our son a Organ Donor. Knowing all along he two bit wife and already done so. I was told she was getting Paid for these Organs. He did not have this on his license and I did not feel this would be his choice, however his wife of 3 yrs which did not give a hoot about him anyway chose to donate his organs and I just walked out of the room. My son leaves a small child 7 yr old son that does not understand why his Dad had to die. The wife was the step mother of this child and all she was after was getting rid of him to collect money. That's how our system works now though. We have custody of my little grandson now and he does not know his real Mom due to some Mental problems she has. He has not seen his Mom since he was 2 yrs old, His Dad was his world. The step Mom that pretended to love him so much did not even report to the Workman Comp Insurance Co., that this little child even existed. She has not called to check on him one time. However this wonderful Hospital let her make all of the decisions on her Husband's Life and Death. That is What Our Govt has chosen to let happen in this world today. Shame on America's Legal Rights, and these Hospital Staff members who allow this to happen. This is the only Trauma Center Hospital in our surrounding area, but it stinks..........There were Multiple patient with Brain injuries in this Hospital while we were there and non of these people lived but one girl...........I am sure they pressured them to Donate their organs too. Organ Doning is a good thing, but not when you are pressured into it just for the Hospital to get multiple millions of dollars to get people to be Donars.

Overall

This is the worst emergency room I have ever been to. The bathroom in the waiting room had a giant cockroach in it. It took a really long time to even be taken back. The staff was far from friendly. I came in with intense stomach pains and all they did was a urine sample. It took over 5 hours for this process. No one there seemed competent.

Overall
worst ER in the south!!!

My sister and I were on our way through Chattanooga, TN on vacation and were rear ended by a hispanic uninsured motorist with no driver's license. She hit us at a high rate of speed on the interstate and never even hit her brakes. My sister was transported by ambulance and asked for me several times, but unknown to her, I was still on the side of the road 2 hours later in the rain waiting on another ambulance which never came. They transported the woman who hit us with my sister, even though she only had a bruised arm, because she had no health insurance and they could use my sister's insurance to pay for the ambulance. when I arrived, 2 hours later, they were now so busy that I had to come with a police officer and had to wait another hour to be seen. then there were no beds and I waited another hour in the waiting room, finally, when no one would tell me how my sister was, I entered the ER and was rebuked by the hospital staff, who refused to treat us properly, even though we acted professionaly. We were given rushed treatment, and even though I am a heart patient, was never given an EKG, although I had jaw pain, and we were rushed out the door as soon as our xrays came back. when we called for our medical records, they wanted us to drive 7 hours back to sign medical releases because their policy is that they do not release records with a faxed consent. The woman with no insurance received better treatment than we did, and she only had a bruised arm. my sister and I both suffered spinal injuries. My sister is an ER nurse in North Carolina and I am a former EMT, and we have never seen such a bad ER. By the way, the policeman that drove me to the hospital had alcohol on his breath. we found out that in Tennessee, you are not required to have auto insurance, even when you buy a car or get your tags, so stay out of this state as, according to the police there, it is filled with uninsured drivers!!
