Charlottesville Gastroenterology Associates was founded in 1982 by Dr. Byrd S. Leavell and Dr. Michael J. Oblinger. Dr. Daniel J. Pambianco joined the practice in 1989, followed by Dr. David H. Balaban in 1997, Dr. Diego A. Gomez in 2001 and Dr. Jenny O. Smith in 2010.
