Whisky River

What's up with charging a credit card twice for an entire slew of people from 10/5 and then being no help about it at all? If you guys know it's a problem then you should be the ones taking the time to work with your cc vendor to fix it, not the hundreds of people you inconvenienced having to take time out of their schedule to deal with banks and cc companies - always a fun task. Not to mention that means you'll keep the $$ from the ones that don't catch it. Classy. Last time I’ll go there.

A bouncer there by the name of JOSH, he's about 6' 8" and had to weight over 400 pounds ( you cant miss him ) physically assaulted a female last night. My best friend, his girlfriend, and myself were in v.I.p. And left to go smoke a cigarette out on there patio and upon returning to the v.I.p. The bouncer told us we couldn't come back in. My friends girl wanted an explanation and before we knew it she got shoved by him and then all hell broke loose. They have male employees that assault women in there staff! I Would never reccomend this place due to my past experience . I hope he gets some kind of diciplinary action, hell, if I owned the place he'd be fired on the spot.

I have to totally disagree with the 1st review! My only complaint would be the long lines to get into the place! You want to make sure you call ahead and get your name on the List before going b/c the line can be over a 2 hour wait. Once you're in though you'll have a blast! They have a VIP area that is really nice with waitresses and then you're also not jammed up against everyone. And the Bull can get very crowded too. What it comes down to though is unless your in the VIP area you should always tip your bartender. That's even in LKN if you're not tipping most likely they won't be serving, then again that's most all bars. That's how they make their money though as a Server! So Tip them well people and you'll be served well!



Anyhow the music is really good and the atmosphere is Great too! For the most part anything goes there! They'll play all types of music along with great dancing stuff! You'd think its a tourist trap being owned by Jr but its not! And if you go on a Tuesday or Thursday there's even a chance you may see him. Also they have very hot beer tub girls if you don't want to wait at the bars! It can get very crazy but then again isn't that why you went out! At least try it out, I don't think you'll be disappointed! Just remember to call ahead!

To be fair, I have gone to Whisky River a handful of times and have always had a decent time. Recently though, I went to Whisky River and due to the large crowd, I was having a hard time getting served by one of the bartenders. I stood there patiently along with my boyfriend and another friend. The bartender just skipped over all of us. When two girls walked up beside me, they had not been standing there for more than a minute and he asked for their order. I got his attention and said that I had been waiting and wanted to be helped. He mouthed off at me that "he only helps people he knows because they tip better." I mouthed off something about "how do you know that I don't tip well?" I walked away and went to another section of the bar but my boyfriend stayed and I guess said something in my defense and the bartender reared back some lovely comment about me being a witch with a B.



I am a young, intelligent, business professional in Charlotte and feel that I behaved accordingly and by no means did I behave in a way that warranted being called a witch with a B. I did report it to the Manager and he offered to buy me and my 8 friends’ drinks. I accepted and he restored a tad bit of my faith in the customer service at Whisky River. My only hope is that the bartender got reprimanded for his behavior.



Not sure if I ever will go back to Whisky River but if you are thinking about going, I would warn to set your expectations low, so then when a bartender treats you the way he treated me, you wouldn't be surprised.
