Established in 1991, Park Road Montessori School is an elementary school that provides academic classes to students in prekindergarten through grade five. The school s academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as music, technology, art, English, math, reading, speech, science, social studies and physical education. Park Road Montessori School has a parent-teacher organization that conducts monthly meetings and assists with school activities, fundraising events, field trips, and parent information and workshops. It has a staff of regular classroom and speech teachers, as well as a reading specialist, school psychologist, librarian and counselor. Park Road Montessori School is a part of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools.
