Got the large size of fried pickles, which wasn't all that large, and could hardly, if at all, taste the pickle because they were sliced so incredibly thin. It truly tasted like fried breading and on top of that, they were cold. SO disappointing because I love fried pickles! Also got the Tree Hugger Veggie Burger, which is a homemade concoction that looked like it had been scrambled and then placed on the bun (rather than in patty form) and absolutely smothered in mozzarella cheese. Should have been called a mozzarella burger instead. No tomato, no onion, just one very thin piece of lettuce on the bun. Very, very unsatisfying, especially since this "burger" cost $7.49. It came with a choice of sides, which were several different varieties of fries. I chose garlic fries, but that isn't what I received. Their beer "special" is $2.50/bottle, which is just okay, certainly not a drawing card. There are many other places with much better food that have better specials than that. The service was "acceptable" but nothing more. My bill was $22 including tip and I ate less than half of my food and left sort of feeling as though I had just been robbed. At least the beer was cold.

I was eating there, and while I was eating someone broke into my car.. this has been happening lots lately in the area. they smashed in my window and stole my gps along with my cd player. And yet NO ONE SAW THIS???!
Enough about my car though, the seating in angry ales is very limited and thats a major negative, I also find the food just Okay..

This place is awful. The dirtiest little pub I have ever been to. The wait staff is very rude, and honestly, very unattractive. The food is nasty. You can see into the kitchen, and the cooks look like they just got done shooting up. This is quite easily the worst place in Charlotte.
The owner is a fat, rude coke head who gets so wasted whenever he is there that you can't even understand what he is saying. He reminds me of the unpopular guy in the fraternity house. The bartender, I think her name is Cat, is like 47 years old and always smells like pot. She pretty much steals the place blind, but I think she is sleeping with the fat owner.
The prices are cheap, but that's because the liquor is probably watered down. This place brings the entire Montford Drive down several notches.
On the bright side. if you want to buy some coke, it is readily available from a lot of the customers, and from the smell of it, the bartender can hook you up with some weed.
