Johnson L L Lumber

I agree with the second review, this place is awesome. I was looking for quarter sawn oak for my father in law in northern Michigan. After finding Johnson through a search engine, I stopped in to see the facility en route back to the land of Cheese. Turns out I was short a few board feet of 6/4 white 1/4 sawn oak. After meeting the folks at the front desk i went up to the custom lumber area spoke to one of the staff went to the warehouse 4/5 and started my search. I was met by a lift operator that moved the wood into a viewable area and he and I went through boards to find suitable product, we did, it shipped (ok it isn't cheap, but you get what you pay for,) and the project is now a kind sized Mission Oak bed frame. A few months later I ordered more wood from them sight unseen and had it shipped again. My FIL called and said you have some beautiful wood here. My only complaint is that it took a little longer than anticipated to ship this time around. Great staff, great products, expensive but worth it.

I couldn't disagree more the previous review. I have bought both lumber and equipment from L. L. Johnson for almost 20 years. I have never had anything but superior service, even though I live almost 70 miles away. When my Delta contractor saw was not working properly, one of the owners actually drove to Fenton to repair it. I have recommended L. L. Johnson to several friends and they too have been very satisfied with the quality of their products and thei service.
