General Info

The City of Charlotte Public Works Department is responsible for the maintenance of public infrastructure systems. It offers a range of maintenance services for streets, sidewalks, parks and recreational centers within the local area. The department also provides snow removal, street sweeping, and water and wastewater treatment services. It operates a motor vehicle pool department that offers repair and maintenance services for city-owned vehicles and equipment. In addition, the City of Charlotte Public Works Department maintains water and sewer lines. It also provides recycling services for aluminum cans, corrugated cardboards, food containers, shopping bags, household batteries, scrap metals, and glass and plastic bottles through its recycling center. Located in Charlotte, Mich., the department employs a staff of more than 10 people.
