Valley West Veterinary Hospital

I was a with valley west since 2000. They were always kind and willing to work with me on payments because I was on a very limited income. My cat developed diabetes and the insulin and syringes were extremely expensive. I fell on hard times and had to move two hours away. I tried working out ways to pay for the needed medication for my baby but they flat out refused to give me his insulin. They say they love your pet as their own. Lies! This vet office is all about the money. When I fell behind on my payments they literally put out a warrant for my arrest because they were holding a personal check that I didn't have funds to cover. I again tried to work out payments but NO! They would rather make an example out of you and let your baby suffer and die without his meds.

Dr. Metz is the best! Always so caring and kind to my dogs and very knowledgeable about their health issues, and she takes my questions and concerns seriously.

I have used Valley West Hospital for 7 years now. We started with 2 indoor rabbits. They worked with us and we were blessed with 10 healthy years from both rabbits. We recently had to put our cat, 5 yrs old, to sleep due to congestive heart failure. This was so unexpected and Dr. Issac (young one) and and his staff were extremely patient and caring through the whole process. Even with the subject of cost, they were wiling to ease us through tough decisions. In the end, she went peacefully and is in a better place.



I like that no appointment is needed. Life is so busy and their hours are so helpful in getting our animlas the treatment they need while working within our hectic life. The staff is kind hearted and works with the parent of the animals. I want to thank all of them for years of great service.



We are still blessed with our dog Henry and will continue to use the services of Valley West in the furute. If you live in the CHarleston area, I would check them out. They have our animals' best interest at heart.
