Took my 13 yr old baby here I was told he was a bad diabetic had to put him down. In the state of mind I was in I noticed they had over charged me for service when I questioned it I was told not once but twice to calm down by the Girl at the desk she was not professional she was cold hearted and just wanted the money, I told her don’t tell me to calm down I just had to put my baby down and now she was over charging me . Very cold hearted people they have working there, but I will say the little girl that brought me my baby to take home was very nice and you could tell she cared about what I was going through. Someone needs to get rid of the buck toothed girl at the front desk . If you’re fur baby is really sick take them somewhere else. By the way about me being over charged I did get my refund when another girl took over checking me out . Don’t ever tell me to calm down.

I love you all, you've been a blessing.
I was wondering if there's a way I can access my Chi's medical information? Not exactly the records but the shot record and due dates.

I seen Dr Koressel a relief vet and She is super nice and very professional . She took the time to explain everything to me and gave me several options for treatment for my cat Susie . She answered all my questions .

I have been going here for almost 2 years now and have nothing but good to say about these folks. I have only had to wait a while once and that was because the place was packed. I am very particular who I let care for my dog because he is family as far as I'm concerned. The staff has been very kind and considerate. I recommend Northgateway to my friend and co-workers all the time. I read the other reviews and am stymied as I have never had such an experience, and I feel so sorry for them. With all my dealings with them I have been very satisfied. Maybe they might have had issues before, and if they did, they have done whatever it took to correct them. I certainly trust my Chester with them.

Don't know what they're doing

I recently got a small breed puppy and he has had trouble with allergies. Many times, he will scratch his face until it's raw. When I took him in, the vet told me that he did not have allergies and that it was a repercussion from fleas... That he has never had. I've volunteered at the animal shelter and know the signs of fleas. My dog has never had them and I keep up with his flea medicine. I can't help but wonder if she even has a degree...

Recommendation

I gave one star just because of the convenient location. I would recommend not going Friday through Monday, around holidays or at opening, closing, and before or after lunch hours. The staff is extremely moody and makes you wait much longer than needed. Basically, if you have a job with set hours, it is impossible to go there.

What you pay for is what you get

Although this place is cheaper, I had to wait with my very nervous dog for nearly an hour for the incompetent technician to mix up my dog's medication. They are obviously not suitably trained and, in turn, she made my dog very, very sick. I will not be back and I would not recommend this place to the owner of a pet rock.

Disgusting!

My dog is extremely laid back and has never had a problem at any other vet. She was doing fine until the vet tech brought a deceased pet through the waiting room! My dog went crazy after that. I thought that was EXTREMELY disrespectful, unprofessional, and unsanitary. They're trained to know animals. Do they not know they have a keen sense of smell?!

HORRIBLE

I only gave one star because it wouldn't let me give 0. The ladies up front are down right rude, they act like its a burden to ring you up. They get annoyed if you wait to pay. I've actually had one of them yell at me when I was standing in front of the desk and said she was waiting on the paper. What else am I supposed to do? Wait in my car? It's just too hard for them to weigh your dog and tell you to come in the examination room. Sorry sweetheart, but that is clearly not the most difficult job in the world. I have never seen such rude people, nor so many people who totally disregard the animals, and its a vets office!!! I'm just utterly appalled at their awful behavior. When I took my dog in there the vet wanted to do an examination on my dog without me being present, I hesitantly agreed because he was in pain. She stated if my dog bit me, they were liable, but handed me a muzzle to put on him? (My dog isn't vicious, he has anxiety and I guess they don't understand that). Then she proceeded with the examination and I heard my dog crying in pain, the vet did nothing to console him. Then she wanted to do X-rays, I hastily refused, I didn't want my dog in anymore vet-inflicted pain. I told her to bring me back my dog, and when she did his leash was double tied around his neck. Wonder if they tried to choke him? There was no need for this, he already had a muzzle. I certainly will NOT ever bring any of my animals back here, and if you care about your animals, you shouldn't either!

The ONE star is for BARB.,the ...

The ONE star is for BARB.,the lady up front that talked with us and was so upset about what had happened to us..I took my Great Dane in for an ear infection and she stayed for a week. My husband and I went to visit with her and when they brought her to the room she had Dried Crap on her and the smell was NASTY.We wet paper towels to wipe her off as we was told that she was like that when they came in @ 8 that morning(it was 3:00 in the afternoon. We decided to take her home with us and she was very sick. She had gotten Kennel Cough that had turned into Pneumonia. After calling them back the next morning and 2 trips to the animal ER with breathing treatments and 4 bags of fluid,we are still trying to save her.At the animal ER there was 3 other people with their pets with the same thing from North Gateway. I will never nor will I recommend this place to anyone and I will do what ever it takes to make sure the public knows the truth about how bad this place is. I have been doing research for 3 days and I have so much more from other pet owners.

After having my dog home for 4 days, she can hold her head up without help but can not walk from being so sick and weak.

Honorable Terms for a dishonorable world

Cheaper than the vet I used in 1992. They really care about animals, I'll use them again.
