The folks at Modern Family Dentistry are the best! So friendly and patient. Dr. K is by far one of the nicest dentists I've seen. I have some general unease about getting Novocain but I had nothing to worry about there, Dr. K put me at ease and it was a very pleasant experience. Highly recommended.

The dentists and higentists are very competent but the prices are always higher than the insurance company allows so you always have additional amount to pay. Be very careful about a quote for work and proposed insurance coverage. Their quote has not been approved by the insurance company. The procedure may not be approved at all by the insurance company and you are left with the entire bill even though you have dental insurance. That is exactly what happened to me. I had a porcelain ceramic crown which they like to push on you because it is the most expensive crown you can get which cost $1,152.00 and my insurance company does not allow this type of crown. Modern Family Dentistry did not inform me of this fact prior to the procedure. They gave me an estimate of $494.60 is what insurance companies typically cover for crowns. However since my insurance company does not cover this type of crown I had to pay the total cost of the crown out of my pocket even though I pay for dental insurance. Be very wary when they give you estimates and what insurance companies will cover, it is only an estimate they have not actually submitted the estimate to the insurance company.
