Honorable Henry W Guerard

DIDO- I had a case in 2010. Guerard was very arrogant. He started in on some personal rant against longdistance landlords buying up Charleston and trying to make a profit off of Charleston without being a resident. I actually had a lawyer with me (thanks to a rich benifactor) who was shocked. I asked my lawyer "have we already lost?" He said "it doesn't look good." I had sworn affidavids from several people supporting my case and he through them out. Saying "they need to be here in person." This judge is joke who makes judgements based on personal opinion rather than fact.

I recently had a small claims court heard by Judge Guerard. He was extremely arrogant, condescending and rude during the entire trial. I tried to come prepared and read law books prior to my case so as to educate myself. He took offense to this and I was immediately attacked for doing so "you are wasting my time" and you law is abysmal. I was nothing but cordial and polite during the entire trial and still Mr. Guerard kept slandering me. I have never been so disrespected as I was yesterday in court. As a health care provider in the low country all I can say is that I am appalled by Mr.Guerard's behavior and will be reporting him to the state board of ethics.
