Dental Examination
New patients can expect to be welcomed to our practice by our front office staff when you first come to our dental clinic. Your first appointment as a new patient will take approximately 90 minutes and includes a dental/health history review, a cleaning, a comprehensive exam by the dentist, and an oral cancer screening. Our staff will also take diagnostic radiographs (x-rays) and intraoral and extraoral photographs.

Crowns
Endodontic treatment is often referred to as root canal treatment. Patients may need a root canal if there are signs of inflammation or infection in the roots of a tooth. Root canal treatment consists of removing the tooth pulp of all infection and then filling and sealing the canal space. A clinical exam with one of our doctors will be necessary to verify that you are in good oral health before proceeding with a whitening treatment.

Dr. Ellis values continuing education and understands the paramount importance of advanced clinical skills and using the latest technology that will optimize patient care. She was appointed and has served two terms on the Continuing Dental Education Advisory Committee at UNC. She was inducted into the O.K.U. Dental Honor Society in 1999, and has served as an adjunctive faculty member at UNC School of Dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry as well as the Seattle Study Club, and the Spear Study Club. Dr. Ellis was the Seattle Study Club member of the year for 2016/17. She became a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2016. Dr. Ellis is also an academy member and mentor of the cerecdoctors.com.
