Dr. Dungy would like to make sure that you are healthy enough to recover from surgery. You will be required to obtain labs and an EKG through a lab or your primary care provider. Some patients may require additional clearances from other care providers in order to safely proceed with surgery.

I was born and raised in the Ann Arbor, Michigan area. I graduated from Michigan State University in 2016 with a degree in Human Biology. I then attended graduate school at the Marietta College Physician Assistant Program located in Marietta, Ohio. During my graduate training, I developed a true passion for orthopedics. After graduate school, I returned to Michigan and treated patients for a variety of issues in an urgent care setting.

If you have been seen by Dr. Dungy and a radiology exam has been ordered to help diagnosis your particular problem, this is how our office will assist you in scheduling your exam. We provide X-ray services in our office; however, we will have to send you to an outside facility if an MRI is needed.
Radiology
We will fax the order for the radiology exam to the facility. Once the imaging facility receives authorization from your insurance, they will contact you to schedule. If you do not hear from the facility within a week from your appointment, please contact our office.

I was taught to be proud of the work that I do and thus the name of my practice. I am board certified orthopedic surgeon with a sub-specialization in adult reconstruction (joint replacement). I hold membership in the AMA, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and as a fellow of the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) since 2006. I received my B.S. degree in Microbiology at the University of Maryland at College Park during which time I worked as an intern in the Clinical Pathology Department at the National Institutes of Health and performed genetic research at the Johns Hopkins University. I earned my medical degree from the University of Illinois and completed my general surgical internship and orthopedic residency at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.. I then completed a fellowship in orthopedic adult reconstruction (hip and knee replacement) at the Harvard University combined orthopedic training program at Massachusetts General Hospital.
