Campus Property Management

I'm usually not too picky when it comes to campus apartments, mainly because it's almost expected that they'll be a little dirty. So when I heard people talk about how bad CPM was, I just brushed it aside. Now I know better. Our apartment is not only disgusting, but it is unhealthy to live in. When we moved in back in August, there was mold all over the ceiling, walls, and growing in the toilet in our bathroom. We called them to take care of it, but all they did was spray paint over it. A few months later, the mold grew back. Big surprise! We called them again to take care of it. Their response to the situation: "Well, last time we used our special mold spray, which is supposed to permanently get rid of mold. It looks like it lasted a few months, so that's pretty good." I'm sorry, since when are permanently and four months the same thing?! Anyway, it took them over a week to come and take care of something that should be taken care of immediately!!! Now all of our clothes smell like mold and even when we wash them, it's hard to get rid of the smell.



Not only that, but recently we've had problems with a leaky shower. They had someone come in to cut out a huge chunk from the ceiling above our shower to fix the pipe. Now little pieces of drywall are falling into our bathtub and all the moldy pipes are exposed! As he was leaving, he told us that he fixed the pipe, but someone else was going to come to patch up the two feet by one foot hole in our ceiling. Yeah...it's been a week and still no one has come to fix it! I wouldn't mind so much, but now the mold smell in our bathroom is even stronger!!! I'll definitely be contacting the tenant union and health department about this. They've been screwing over students for far too long!
