El Patron

My husband & I have eaten here many times and have also brought friends to eat. The food has always been excellent and the service was very good. Our out of town friends also thought highly of the food. We love Mexican food & to have such a good restaurant like this in the parish is divine. I can't imagine what could have caused the other reviewer to have such negative comments.

Horrible, and rude. Waited 40 minutes with only drinks and cheese. No one came to check on us and we watched many people come and go.

I've lived in Chalmette a long time but never got around to dining at El Patron's. Recently my mom was in town and we went there for lunch. It was TOTALLY AMAZING!!! Every single thing we both got was absolutely delicious! I had the beef enchiladas and she had hmm... something else but she said it was wonderful. lol Oh and we got guacamole and it was perfect. For dessert we got sopapias which were sweet, spicy and heavenly. I could kick myself for not having stopped there before. We'll be regulars from now on, though. :)
