Overall

I should have trusted my gut and walked out the door after the initial fitting and estimate. $400 UP FRONT to alter the top, hem the front and bustle the back of a wedding dress with only TWO layers of skirt. Inna praised herself and said she would be able to make the alterations and the dress would be beautiful and we would be happy. The initial fitting and estimate was done on Wed, Nov 26. We went in for the second (and final) fitting on Mon, Dec 22.

We were not happy and the dress was not beautiful when she was done.

The top of the dress was ruined. Inna took the dress in the back after my daughter and I said we didn't like the way the top fit. I heard ripping and steaming. After putting the dress back on, the top still didn't fit correctly and now the scalloping at the neckline on the right side is gone (shrunk from the steaming), the organza was puckered and shrunken, and the beading on the left side was yellow. When I pointed that out, Inna said that it was like that already - "sometimes it comes from the dress maker like that." Those were her exact words!

The hem was crooked in the front - you could see one shoe but not the other. The bustle was also crooked when tied up. The dress was not steamed as she said it would be.

We left the shop because it was obvious she wanted us out of there and I didn't want to embarrass my daughter and cause a scene. Once in the car, my daughter broke down sobbing. We went straight to another bridal store (The Bridal Collection on County Line Road) and bought a dress off the floor. They were fantastic!

We used a tailor the bridal shop recommended: Elegant Alterations, 6842 S University Blvd, Centennial, CO 80122 303-721-9339

Lucy did a fantastic job on the alterations and only charged $200! She had to alter the top, hem the front and bustle the dress. The new dress had 3 layers of organza for the top skirt, a satin layer and a built in slip with an extra ruffled tulle to hold the skirt out. We went in for a total of 4 fittings so Lucy could make sure the hem was correct. I highly recommend you go to Lucy for any alterations.

Back to Inna, after the wedding on Jan. 2, I took pictures of the ruined dress and sent them with a letter to Inna asking for refund of the alterations and the price I paid for the dress as it is now unusable by anyone. She wrote back saying she would not refund the money and that there was nothing wrong with her alterations. She also basically accused me of lying about the problems with the top of the dress and insinuated that I had done these myself after I left the shop. She stated that after items leave the shop, she is not responsible and therefore won't return my money.

It is highly disturbing to me that she did not stand behind her work. It is very sad that she doesn't want to make things right. STAY AWAY - Inna's work is sub-par and her attitude and customer service is even worse!

Inna does amazing work. She took a jacket that was destroyed at the sleeves and pockets, truly most would have considered it a complete loss. But Inna fixed it so well, it looks like new. It Is a wonderful jacket that will now be worn for many more years. I recommend Inna to all my friends because she is so reasonably priced and does such exceptional work.

Overall
The best tailor I have had in many years

I had the best experience. Great customer service, the owner was extremely pleasant, beautiful place. She had my wedding dress tailord, and did a marvelous job. She also tailord my husband's tuxedo and did it perfect. I would recommend her to anybody. And the best thing is the price, very reasonable, compare to any other tailors. I would go back to her with all my other clothes.
