Why in the h*ll is Leighton still employed in this department - or any department for that matter???? And the DA (Morganelli) is just worthless! Did it take too much time out of his busy book business to actually administer true justice to this testosterone driven, cat murdering moron??? What a farce (both this police department and the DA)!! NEVER, EVER CALL THE COPS IF YOU'RE MISSING A PET - NEVER!! If that Leighton ever so much as coughs he needs to be shot because he's obviously diseased and needs to be put down for the better of, well, everyone else on this earth!

Cat killing douchebags. Why does it seem the vast majority of police officers these days are psychotic bullies? Perhaps it's time to revisit police psychological examinations to see where we went wrong.

Shooting cats and annoying teenagers. It's a shame N Catty police are so bored that killing domestic animals needs to fill their time. Don't they have criminals to catch somewhere?

In the wonderful tradition of Christmas, one of these boys in blue found it necessary to kill a pet cat two houses away from its home.

Tom Newhart's cat Sugar got out Dec. 6 and was found late that night by neighbor Mike Lienert, who noticed that the cat appeared injured – an account first reported by station WFMZ.

Lienert called police for help and the responding officer warned him if the cat was injured "we will put it down," according to the WFMZ report.

The cat was hissing but otherwise didn't appear dangerous, Lienert told WFMZ.

The officer then shot the cat and told Lienert he'd have to clean up the mess, according to the TV station.
