Peterson's Consigning Design

I was amazed after reading these reviews!!! I have been shopping and consigning here for the longest time. I did however notice these we old reviews. I still think I should let everyone know how much enjoy this store and all the ladies who work there. I recommend it to anyone and everyone. Every year they get voted best consignment shop and best place to buy furniture and I am one of their voters !!!

Selected them based on needing an item by a delivery date, to which they agreed. The day before, my wife called to find out when to pick it up. The owner got very defensive and hung up on her. Not sure how they stay in business. Needless to say, did not have a finished item by date needed and, in fact, had to have the partial work redone because of poor quality. The owner, of course, kept the deposit. Avoid at all costs.

Don't buy at this store....if you pay for items and don't take them with you they will sell them again. It happened to us this week. We bought a chandelier and other items and paid for them. I have the receipt with an item number listed. We asked if they could "hold' the item until we had our movers pick it up in about 2 weeks. They said they could. When the movers delivered the other items the Chandelier was missing. I called and the lady said it had been sold to someone else. We were at the new residence at this time. I asked if they could call the new buyers and let them know it had already been sold. They said no. The lady tried to apologize but couldn't give much explanation. I asked why the computer inventory didn't flag the transaction. She didn't know. I even called several days before the move to insure all items would be picked up. I think they need to improve their computer system. They offered me a 15% discount on any item. I told them I would not be shopping there again. I asked that they send me a refund plus interest. They need to improve their business practices or train their employees better.
