City of Carthage

The Carthage city police consist of about a dozen officers, but they write enough traffic tickets that you would believe that the city of Carthage was up to three times or more the size. This is not right and it reflects badly on the city image and the officers they employ. If you are one of the unfortunate one to receive one of these citations you will be found guilty even if you believe that it was wrong. It is all about the money that these tickets bring in and nothing else. The court system is only there to allow you more time to pay these fines, if you don’t pay the money and believe me you will pay or go to jail. If you go to court and plead not guilty the Judge will send you out of the court to talk with the city prosecutor and he will question you to get information to determine the best way to use it against you and to talk you out of going forward with court. What I am saying is that with the city of Carthage, Texas police department and the court system it is a no win situation. This message may not mean much to you now but it will when it happen to you.
