Preowned Truck Store

I worked for the owner Chris and his wife for less than a month in the spring of last year. I implore anyone who is considering purchasing an automobile from The Preowned Truck Store to seriously reconsider. They have a BBB rating of F and they are, for lack of a better term, fabricators. I saw, firsthand, how vehicles were advertised and sold as in good condition, when in reality they had the vehicle in their garage the day before placing quick and temporary fixes for what were sometimes serious mechanical issues. They often told customers that actually manufacturer parts were used on vehicles for repairs when in fact they had driven down to the nearest auto supply store and purchased the least expensive version they could find. They were constantly ignoring customer calls from clients after the sale was made. And in the short time I was there I saw no less than 10 clients who had purchased from them have temp. tags that were expired and they had never received their permanent tags/or the proper documentation in the mail. Therefore, they could not legally drive their vehicle yet. Both Chris, and his wife, would ignore the calls and ask me to call the client back and tell them some kind of story to appease them. The reality was that Lia only filed the appropriate paperwork for titles about 1/3 of the time and would often loose paperwork or forget all together. I have seen them actually spray paint stains on the carpet and headliner of vehicles as well as even going so far as to tell one client in regards to a Chevy Aveo that the replaced engine was an actual brand new engine ordered from GM. In reality it was not a new engine. They had gone to an auction of high mile, preowned cars and purchased a very used Aveo and switched out the engine. They actually lied straight faced to the client. They often do “in house” financing and allow customers to pay with cash, sometimes conveniently forgetting to give the client a receipt and later argue with the client about having not received the payment. I even witnessed them repossess a truck from a gentlemen who had called on a Thursday when his payment was due on the following Monday to tell them he could make a double payment on Wednesday if they could wait; Chris happily agreed and then immediately sent one of his employees to repossessed the truck that night on the grounds of non-payment. When I questioned this, he explained that since the truck was almost paid off and still in good shape he was going to repossess it and then sell it again. He proudly proclaimed that the client had no proof of their verbal agreement via phone. At this point I had to quit. Right is right. PLEASE…..do not do business here; there is a very good chance that it will not end well. Consider giving your hard earned money to a more reputable and honest individual

Bought a 1999 Cherokee here on April 24. It's a nice vehicle, although they overcharged the A/C so it blew out the compressor and I now have to replace it. At the time, they gave us a temp tag good through May 24. Chris (the owner/manager) said that the title may take up to 3 weeks, but no worries, we would surely have it in plenty of time to register the vehicle before the temp tag expired. May 24th has come and gone. Still no tag. And getting them to respond, call back or otherwise make good is like pulling teeth. So, I have been without my vehicle since Saturday. And I am STILL waiting on my title. I was told this morning when I called that "someone" who could help with the title would be in around 1pm today. They've also told me that they've been short staffed. These are not my problems. My problem is their inability to complete a simple task in over a month! So, roll the dice and take your chances. You might end up with a good vehicle that you can't drive.

Stay Away From This Dealer! This has to be the WORST car buying experience of my life. This dealer sold me a car they KNEW had a bad transmission and didn't bother to let me know. Neither did they bother to tell me that the engine was not original ... even after they were the ones to remove the old one. I wasn't given correct paperwork at the time of sale and had to make several calls to request the paperwork given to me. I was lied to about the terms of sale and now forced to replace a faulty transmission less than 100 miles into it. Incidentally, the ad for my car is still up....over one month after the sale. Do yourself a favor and find a used car somewhere else! On a scale of 1 - 10 with 1 being really bad, this dealer rates about a negative 2!

bought a truck there 2 days ago got it home the next day motor started knocking called talked to t***y the car sales man he told me tough luck! WOW what a way to do business so now i have a truck that is blowing up and a car lot that sales CRAP and does not car about there customers they should be called the pre owend junk store!!!!

do yourself a favor and avoid this place!!!!!!!!!!! seriously

Buyers Beware!!!! Me and my husband were given a bogus warranty because the truck had a skip to it. We took it to the dealership and they informed us that the warranty is no good it is a scam!!!! Plus they gave us 90 days to pay off what we owed. They began calling me with in a week harassing me about the payment leaving very nasty messages demanding payment in full eventhough we agreed to pay it off in 90 days!! Will never do business with this dealer again and will not recommend them to anyone I know. You have been Warned!!
