Founded in 1945, Carmichael Recreation and Park District offers a range of recreational facilities and family entertainment services. It features a selection of park sites and rental facilities, including community hall, memorial building, park, picnic pavilion and playgrounds. The community center primarily offers day camps, volleyball, tennis, softball, flag football, soccer, golf, art classes, fencing, teen programs, community events, fitness, live theater and other activities. Its facilities host wedding receptions, class reunions, workshops, seminars, dance recitals, club meetings, fundraisers and private parties. In addition, it organizes various gala events that include parade and firework shows, park skating, fine arts and summer concerts.
