Godmothers Restaurant

We were very disappointed with this restaurant. I was very slow and very overpriced. The salads and soups were all at least $12 and the entrees were $16 and up with most being between $22 and $24.



We made reservations for 830 and had not been seated at 850 after being told that two times that our table was almost ready. When I went to tell the hostess that we were going to find another place to eat she seated us immediately. Our party was seated at two different tables.



After we were seated we waited 15 minutes for our order to be taken. After we ordered we waited another 35 minutes to receive our dinners. One person in our party didn't receive her salad that she had ordered until several minutes after everyone else in the party was served and she complained. Another ordered spaghetti and meatballs and only got one meatball.



Most of the staff was fairly friendly with the exception of an older woman who was at the hostess station. The service was very poor though.



After we were finished with our dinners we were brought our bill. The server told us that he had charged us an 18% gratuity because we were a large party even though we had been separated and had five at one table and six at another. When I received my $36 dollar bill there was a $12 tip included on the price of the bill. When I complained that I was being charged a 33% tip the server explained that he had added all of the bills together, assessed the 18% gratuity and then split the gratuity by three checks. I told him I wanted to see a manager or head waiter. He took the gratuity off of all of our bills at that point, but I never saw a manager.



Over all, I was really disappointed with the service and prices at this restaurant.
