DEAR LGBT locals, pleas ebe safe and aware. Confederate flags are common in canandaigua, as well as daily lgbt harassment. Please be careful in the outer towns and areas. Always be observant and act with caution. have a friend with you. Horrible establishment. I have three id's on me, two were expired as of two months ago this year. The third was my US passport which was NOt expired until the 2020. The bartender started to complain about my two expired id's and I frustratingly told her, my passport works just fine. I am a 32 year old LGBT person. The drunk guy three feet away apparently didn't like the situation and stood up and said he would " kick my mother f*ckin ass" if I dont leave. I said excuse me sir, are you being homophobic. He said again, if I argue with the bartender, he will kick my faggot ass. I said I am calling the police you have no right to threaten me. I hadn't ordered a single thing yet and left the bar to call the police. Afte I call the police the aggressor, then comes outside to further taunt me and harass me as I calmly and patiently wait for the police after I had already removes myself from the situation, this guy further provokes me and makes me feel unsafe. . The police then arrive, and give me a report number, and tell me the bar doesn't want me to come back ever. They had NO explanation as to why I, an eccentrically dressed Non-binary gender creative person was no longer allowed in an establishment, I had never been to before. This was text book discrimination and retaliation. You better believe that I will be contacting multiple LGBT organizations and advocacy groups! This 'biker' bar is a NOT a safe space for Lesbians, gays, transgendered, or others in the Minority spectrum. Very humiliating and disturbing!
