YOU ARE GAMBLING WITH YOUR MONEY HERE - BE WARNED! Thankfully I was only purchasing a $16.00 item. During my transaction, the computer system went down. Apparently this happens quite a bit, because the clerk said with a heavy sigh, "not again!". It took a while for them to restart the system. The manager said that she needs to check and see if my transaction when through or not after the system restarted. During this time, I checked my bank, and sure enough there was a charge for $16.00 from Kmart - so I said, we are all good, it went through and charged my account. But the manager (very rude, by the way) said, no, that is just a hold we need to charge you AGAIN!!! so, long story short - Kmart did credit my account, but it too 3 WEEKS! I had two $16.00 charges from K-mart for 3 weeks until the credit finally went through. What if this had happened while purchasing a high dollar item? I would have been out hundreds for 3 weeks. Their computer system is obviously very archaic and needs upgrading if they can even afford it. So, please be very wary of your money at this establishment.
