Mrs. Ruth and her son Scott Brigges own this store. Now it is a very unique store, about as unique as one can be in the wiles of Trigg County! Nestled between Cadiz and Canton, on the hilltop past the Golden Pond Fire Department is the most amazing gas station, restaurant (fresh made sandwiches), hardware store, plumbing supply, and electrical store one can find. Enter it, you step back 50 years. I purchased 5 gallons of Hydraulic Oil, and 3 blocks of mineral salt yesterday. I have purchased rib eye steaks, potatoes, eggs, paint, wiring, pipes, stainless steel cable, and I would not be able to list all the products they carry. There is a crew of folks that work there, and you would think they are all Ms. Ruth's children, but they are not, yet you can tell that each of them is loved just like family. They (all the folks there) keep up with families in the community, ear to the ground sort of thing, don't pry, yet are very supportive. Can't be a stranger there except for the first trip. Scott makes Mrs. Ruth mow her own yard, Ms. Ruth is 70 years old! Come on Scott! Well, she won't move the big items out of her yard, and he can't get the 16' mower in close. I love these people! Trust me, they will make your life better by knowing them!
