This office never has same day appointments available. When you have a sick child that needs to be seen urgently, and you would rather a pediatric practitioner evaluate her rather than someone at a walk in clinic, same day appointments are important. I will be switching to a family practice that has a designated provider daily, just for same day appointments.

After 13 years, MTP discontinued my daughter's care because of missed appointments (or so I can only assume since they didn't actually give a reason). Before I rant, I want to say that the physicians at this practice are excellent and I have been content with their care of my 3 kids for all these years. Having said that, what disappoints me most is the lack of a uniform approach across the entire practice and lack of communication. No warning was sent, no indication was ever given that this could happen. While I accept my responsibility in missing appointments (purely accidental, btw), I also know that if anybody there had bothered to actually communicate with me, this would not be how I would be parting ways with MTP. If I had missed several appointments in 1 or 2 years of my kids being patients, I would feel embarrassed and ashamed, but I would fully understand. But (although I know it isn't) this feels personal and not only am I ashamed and embarrassed, but I feel really let down. My observation over the years of seeing this practice grow, is that the bigger they get, the less and less personalized the care and attention from the front office staff has become. I was already thinking about switching my daughter to a non pediatric doc since she is 16, but now it looks like I will be finding a new doc for all 3 kids. I will no longer bring my children to physicians who abide such policies toward patients who have been in their care for a combined total of 35 years. My advice to MTP physicians and staff: bring personalized care back across your entire practice. My advice to parents: you won't find better doctors, so if you don't mind an uptight and overworked office staff and overly rigid policies, this may be the place for your family. I wish I could give a better review after such a long history with MTP :(
