Red Roof Inn

Actually closer to 2 1/2 stars overall. As with most hotels/motels close to SFO, you're going to pay relatively high rates, in my opinion, for what you get. This Red Roof is no exception. It's clearly "nothing to write home about," but does the job. Guess I'd classify it as 'just a motel' - nothing fancy. The internet connect can be definitely unreliable at night, which I wasn't happy about. The restaurant in connection with the motel is also alright, but certainly not great. Overall, this depends upon your own expectations. It suffices reasonably well.

Was attending a conference in SFO at the nearby Embassy Suites. Found this to be the best deal nearby



Pros

- Excellent deal for a hotel near the airport

- Pretty decent for a business stay where you are not in the hotel for most of the day



Cons

- Hotel room is not very spacious

- Maybe an off day, but I had registered for wi-fi along with the hotel rate but they then told me they ran out of wifi cards.(However they did mention that I could pay for the tmobile hotspot and they would reimburse the amount later.)

- No complimentary breakfast or coffee in the room (there is complimentary coffee in the lobby and they have a 24hrs restaurant in-house)
