Zetti's Pizza & Pasta

So let me tell you why I gave them two stars. If I were to rate there pizza I would give them a 5, it is outstanding. The reason I gave them a 3 was the people there. Last year I asked about Zetti's donating to a charity event and the manager was a complete jerk. I don't care how good there food is but that manager was so rude that NO ONE from my charity group will EVER eat there again, including myself.

When it first came it was great. After a few months the pizza went downhill hard. The crust on a fresh pizza was hard. Thinking it would get better next time but it was still cardboard. Not to mention that you dont want to see the workers because their behaviors and practices are gross. The guy folding the boxes picks at his eyes at least once for every box he folds. I watched a pizza maker do the doe tossing tricks like the guy on the commercial were he spins it and roll it over his arm and sholder. Cool on tv but no so cool in real life. I do think the doe was actually fake doe used for practice because it was way to durable and they never used it. I swore it off until i had a slice at my sister inlaws home. It was good again, yeeeaaa right? Wrong. After a while it was back to cardboard crusts. Today will be my last time giving them a try. I went to pick up a order and watched as a guy cutting doe into small squares sneezed over the product ( although he held it back , you know, SSNNUCK!!!!!! and no he didnt cover it) and just kept on going like it was nothing. I took my order (with and extra prayer) and went home. The pizza that is great when done right was back to cardboard. Im done and will never go back. The quaility is inconsistant and the workers have poor practices. They are the only NY style in the immediate area but there are way more choices that have consistently good quality like Santoras around the corner. Too bad though.

I've been going to Zettis since it opened it's location on Maple. I thought- "Finally! A place for the perfect slice of NY Style pizza!" and for awhile, I was right. The food was wonderful, any time of day, during lunch hour or not.



However, I've been visiting the same location more recently and things have most definitely changed. Maybe the manager thought it was a good idea to fire all of his honest, worthwhile employees and hire a bunch of angsty teenagers who are less inclined to take your orders and more inclined to spit in your face for asking them to do a single ounce of work. I sat in their "restaurant" for an HOUR waiting for a pizza I had ordered twenty minutes prior to walking in. Not only that, but the place was FILTHY! Someone had spilled a few of the soda bottles that were conveniently placed outside of their coolers (which just seems like a lazy thing to do in the first place) and no one had bothered to clean it up. And while there was no one else in the restaraunt except those who were already eating, the cashier acted like she had something very important to do and having me pay for my order was a b-roll task compared to what she could have done.

Not only that- when I finally got my pizza that was cold, the guy practically threw the box at me and told me to have a nice day in the rudest way possible.



Zettis manager needs to understand the rudeness of his workers and do something to compensate for their inability to give good customer service. Either start lacing their pizza crusts with solid gold, or get a new staff.

Having grown up in NYC this is the best pizza I have had since moving to Buffalo. The crust is hand tossed and made to perfection thin the way pizza should be with just the right amount of sauce and REAL cheese!!!
