The Palm's Banquets

Had a bad experience last year 8/2013 wedding reception. Reception was cut short was told we could have the reception for the evening if we paid the dinner price mind you we book a year in a half in advance so that something like this would not happen. The Palm's in return book another reception behind ours so our time was cut short. What ever you do have everything in writing!

I have been to the palms banquet facility on two separte occassions and neither of them were good experience. The manager that handles the events is very unprofessional in her approach with patrons. The waite staff is the only redeeming quality of this facility because they are pleasant and warm individuals which is good. The meals at the palms are often served late and then there is a mad rush for you to complete your food quickly. The food is not very taste either. It is often overcooked or not cooked enough. I went there Mothersday for a brunch and was very disappointed in the service that was given and the quality of the food that was presented for consumption. The menu consisted of chicken, mystery meat in gravy, mashed potatoes, mixed veggies, bread basket, overcooked pasta in dryed up sauce. Midway through the serving of the meal the facility ran out of food so that over twenty guest were unable to partake in the meal. The facility did nothing to rectifiy the food shortage the manager took an oh well approach to the situation. For desert the people were served two teaspoons of sherbert. Mind you we had to pay $22 per person for the meal. I do not think that the palms is friendly to minority patrons and therefore did not put any effort in the service that was provided or lack thereof. I would recommemend that you go to the protocol or other surrounding facilities for your banquet needs because this has by far been the worst dining experience I have had since moving to the area 30 yrs ago. If you are a minority looking for a facility do not choose this one unless you are looking to be unhappy.
