Overall

I hope this review is found helpful, My girlfriend and I were so SHOCKED by our latest stay at this hotel we had to post. I informed Mike at the front desk of problems we were having with our fridge again not getting cold and the jacuzzi draining water. (This was a common trend with the 3 prior times we stayed here) After I told him this, instead of apologizing for the inconvenience and assuring me he would take care of it he asked me to hold for a second and then proceeded to walk to the back and then told Russell, the owner. Who stormed out into the lobby area where I was standing next to my girlfriend, and with his face beat red and in a very nasty and confrontational manner, screamed at me and got in my face saying, "WHAT THE F--- IS YOUR PROBLEM, EVERYTIME YOU STAY HERE YOU HAVE AN ISSUE. NO ONE ELSE HAS PROBLEMS, NO ONE ELSE COMPLAINS. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT HERE DON'T STAY HERE. WE WILL GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY BACK AND YOU CAN GET THE F--- OFF MY PROPERTY AND NEVER COME BACK.". Mike who was accompanying me (My girfriend stayed downstairs in the lobby) on the elevator to replace my fridge, was rude and extremely dismissive of the problems we have had and told me our issues in all were illegitimate and unnecessarily mentioned. Telling me I didn't need to tell them of the problems with their rooms and it was wasting their time. Mike later that day approached us in the fitness center, and apologized for the way we were treated and encouraged us to come back, at the same time, totally neglecting his part in how the situation transpired and how he dismissed our concerns as worthless. He placed the blame entirely on Russell saying he was "embarrassed" at how Russell acted and "had" to apologize for how Russell acted and how we were treated. He told us he was so upset he had to ask the General Manager Mark for some personal time so he could clear his head and call his girlfriend to tell her what happened. He then told us other people have complained on various occasions as well and that Russell went as far as to call the police to have them removed from the property. Mike also told us how in Russell's aging years he is starting to lose his memory. He described a time when he worked for Russell and Russell fired him and how when he came back a few months later in hopes to get his job back Russell did not remember him and that when Russell was introducing him to Mark as if they never met, he said that he had a "good feeling" about Mike. Mike told us how the General Manager Mark mainly runs the Hotel and that Russell is just there for appearances since he is the owner and usually sleeps most of the time. To say the least, I was shocked and amazed at how intolerant, unaccommodating and short-tempered the owner was, and furthermore the level of unprofessionalism he showed us was completely unacceptable. If you go to this hotel, just accept the fact that the ammendities in the room are as comparable as going to a Days Inn keep your mouth shut and smile. Don't get me wrong, the room is spacious, and it was visually nice, but when you go to use the items nothing worked except the TV, bathroom/ shower, the Coffee Maker, and the bed of course. Don't waste your time offering feedback to improve the place, it just falls on deaf ears and you may experience the same fate as I, being cussed out by Russell Salvatore for simply reporting a problem with your room. Russell is a nasty man who clearly does not value the business of paying guests. I discourage anyone who is looking for a pleasant stay from ever going to Salvatore's Grand Hotel. (Not to be mistaken with The Garden Place.)

Overall
Very disappointed

Totally ruined a 30 year anniversary celebration dinner for us. We were served mushy shrimp and raw steak when medium was ordered. They actually cut Alaskan king crab legs into 3/4 inch pieces which made it difficult to eat. Would you cut someones steak into little pieces? The service was terrible with the waiter not even returning to the table to ask how things were. They brought a bill to the table with over $40 worth of extra drinks on it although they did correct it after bringing it to their attention. Total cost for dinner for 2 was over $150.00 which for this kind of food and service was a total ripoff. Really it's not about the money but more, I can never get my 30 year anniversary back. Very disappointed.
