BFG Electroplating, established in 1947, has four production plants, which enable it to provide numerous electroplating processes. It employs a wide variety of processes to provide plating that meets the specifications required by factors such as environment and material composition of the component. These include zinc plating, resin impregnation, zinc phosphate coating, black oxide coating, leachant sealer, copper coloring and color marking. Numerous factors are considered to determine the best plating method, such as material composition of the part, function of the part, cosmetic or color qualities desired, size and shape of part and porosity problems. BFG also provides additional services that include truck service, custom packaging and metallurgical testing. BFG Electroplating is based in Hamburg, N.Y., and has an office in Pennsylvania as well.
