Great experience... from initial in home consultation to installation! I highly recommend Advance Glass. Love our new heavy plate shower door.

I am reasonable when it comes to expectations for custom work, but this company has failed on so many levels.



1) getting an estimate: I called on May 16th 2013 to schedule an estimate. I was given a two day window in which they would come the following week. Not even a single day or half day.



2) measure twice cut once. During the estimate Bill F took measurements and have us a quote. All seemed ok at this point. When their estimate came back as the lowest, we made the call on June 14th to go forward with the installation. Immediately one half of the estimate (in our case $300) was due. We paid by cc and they then informed us that a second measurement would be necessary. This time it would take weeks and several calls to get someone out. Who confirmed the initial measurements that Bill F took. After the second measurement it was to take 2 weeks to have the glass back in the shop.



3) wrong size glass?? How is that possible? But wait. There is more. Waiting is exactly what we did. Again more calls from us to them to remind them of our business. More delays. Finally we got a scheduled install date where they took our door (today, July 25th) back to the shop to install the glass. "See you this afternoon," was the ball park for this to be complete. Well. They screwed up and the glass didn't fit. They installed our door with temporary glass and wood blocks holding it in place. Saying Aug 15 is the earliest they can get it done. ::sigh::



Noting their poor track record with our account I called to speak to a decision maker and was rebuffed by the secretary many times. "We will refund your money and you can go elsewhere or you can have your job complete mid-August." I said it was unacceptable for him to dodge my calls and put her in the middle. "He knows you are unhappy and will not return your call. You know the terms we are willing to work with."



At this point we are "pot committed". No other glass installer can get this done before September. They have $300 of our dollars earning interest in their account. We have to continue with the install or risk damage to our floors.



That they decided to dodge my calls was the final straw. Absolutely unacceptable resolution. We have been forgotten, delayed, mistreated, rebuffed, ignored and mislead.



Do NOT use this company. It is worth the $50-100 more to go some place else.
