        Overall

        We love Ela Campground!! My family and I spent a week at this campground and can't wait to go back! It's a smaller campground (a plus in our book) and has 3 playgrounds for the little ones, plus a pool and basketball court for the teens! It's located on the Tuckasegee River and offers tubing, which was super fun! The boys fished every day (we had fresh fish for dinner 1 night!). It's located between Cherokee and Bryson City. We rode the old-timey train in Bryson and enjoyed the small town feel. Cherokee was great also, lots of stores and fun stuff to do. Best of all, to our surprise.... you can get to Gaitlinburg/ Piegeon Forge, TN in just 45 minutes!!!! Clean bathrooms, nice SHADED sites and super friendly management! Can't hardly wait to go back!!!
