Air Conditioning Store

This business cam e to my house and did bad work. I was very unsatisfied with there work. They tried to tell me my AC covers were on wrong ,and the next man that came out said they were fine. So i would not recommend this company to anyone.

I had my a/c unit,ducting and outside unit installed by this company. I spent over 10,000 dollars to have the whole thing installed. They are rude, aggressive and mean when you call back with any problem or question. My unit is over 5 years old and in that time, i had an electrician doing some work in my attic and he found a floating "hot" wire in my attic (bad wiring on the air conditioning store), since NO ONE was up in my attic since the air conditioner store's guys were in there installing the a/c unit and wired it all themselves (were the a/c guys REAL electricians? I dont think so). However, my electrician said that the wiring could have EASILY burned down my entire house and killed my entire family.

Additionally, the outside a/c unit was not installed properly and the compressor and other components have gone bad (directly due to bad installation). I have had to get other air conditioner repair companies to come out MULTIPLE TIMES to fix MULTIPLE problems. I have spent well over $2500 on FIXING the AIR CONDITIONER STORE's screwups on this "new" system they installed.

When I called to ask what happened with my initial installation (problems that I found), the main guy was rude and said, "well you SHOULDN'T have canceled your warranty !" So, the moral of the story - buy THEIR warranty and pay $500+ more each year for them to do "maintenance" for 10 more years,

However, if something breaks, you have to pay for that as well, ON TOP of their "maintenance plan" they charge you for each year. Additionally, their "mainteance plan" involves having a guy come out to your house and "check the system" and change your filters every 6 months. I have changed out my OWN filters and have had to replace nearly every large piece of equipment they have installed (yes, even the thermostat). The three different A/C guys that came out (multiple times) all told me it would be best to take THE ENTIRE SYSTEM OUT and replace it from scratch, since he found so many problems with the unit and the installation.

At the Crosswind Dr. Bryan, TX location, Garry is the owner and the very person that came to work on our residential AC each time after it broke down. I clarify "each time" because our Trane brand system is very finicky and we had to have a few parts ordered from the manufacturer so the repair process took a few days. Otherwise I'm sure Gary would've had the system running the very first visit. Garry stayed well into the evening each visit. Aside from being obviously very skilled, his manner of service was impeccable. We have a home warranty, and he added extras (like replacing our existing, incorrect thermostat with the correct type and providing air filters) that are covered by the warranty without having to be asked. However he kept us updated throughout his diagnosis and repair and never did anything that would cost us any amount without explaining to us and then receiving our permission to continue. He kept in contact for questions via his cell phone nearly the entire time. I do not believe I have ever had business dealings with anyone as hard-working, honest, polite, and concise as Garry. I highly recommend considering no other store but his if you are in the Austin/Bryan area.
