Erectile Dysfunction
Urinary Incontinence
Trasobturator Tape with or without cystocele repair is a procedure done under anesthesia to treat stress urinary incontinence with or without a dropped bladder. This procedure is done by placing a piece of mesh under the urethra to support it. This helps to prevent downward movement of the bladder and urethra during actions of sneezing, coughing, standing, exercising, etc. to prevent incontinence.

Bladder Cancer
One of the most common cancers in the United States affecting over 65,000 men and women a year. Most common cause is smoking. Symptoms almost always start with blood in the urine but can also be urinary urgency, frequency or burning.
Urology
Dr. Sadler is a Board Certified Urologist practicing in Pasco and Hernando Counties since 1996. He is a graduate of New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, and completed his surgical and urologic training at The State University of New York at Buffalo. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Urology, and is licensed by the State of Florida Board of Medicine.
Kidney Cancer
Hand Assisted Laparoscopic Cryoablation of the Kidney is a procedure done under general anesthesia in the hospital for kidney cancer. Although sometimes the entire kidney needs to be removed, ocassionally only a small portion of the kidney is involved. This part of the kidney can be isolated and "frozen" thus killing the cancer tissue but leaving as much "good" kidney tissue as possible. We can perform the surgery on many patients using the Hand Assisted Laparoscopic Technique. Using this technique can lessen postoperative pain, shorten hospital stays for a quicker recovery.
Kidney Stones
One in eleven people in the United States will get kidney stones in their lifetime. In the southern part of the United States stones are even more prevalent. Kidney stones that are not obstructing the urinary tract can produce little to no symptoms but can still damage the kidney and impair its function.
Prostate Cancer
Brachytherapy (Prostate Seeds) is a procedure done under intravenous anesthesia for prostate cancer. In this procedure an ultrasound probe is placed into the rectum. According to the plan from a radiation oncologist, needles are placed into the prostate and tiny seeds of radiation are placed through these needles into precise locations in the prostate. Delivering radiation to these specific sites helps prevent scattering to adjacent structures.

Ultrasound
This is a technique where the patient is placed under anesthesia and a pillow of water is placed under their back in line with their kidney. The stones is imaged with xrays and/or ultrasound and a shockwave is produced which is focused on the stone and causes the stone to break.
MRI
Suncoast Urology now offers one of the most advanced systems to detect prostate cancer. This begins with an MRI of the prostate. The MRI images are then fused into an ultrasound to allow for targeting of suspicious lesions within the prostate. The biopsy can then be done in the office under local anesthesia similar to how standard biopsies are done only with much greater accuracy. This state of the art technique allows for better detection of significant prostate cancers while reducing the need for some biopsies that may not be necessary. Suncoast Urology is one of the only urology practices in the area using this system.

His subspecialty interests include cancers involving the urinary tract such as bladder, prostate, kidney, testicular, and penile cancers. His fellowship training has prepared him to handle even challenging cases such as radical cystectomy with various urinary diversions, partial nephrectomy, and prostatectomies. He is trained to use robotic surgery to perform such procedures using minimally invasive techniques; allowing for a quicker recovery. As part of U.S. Oncology, he has partners in both Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology so that multimodal therapies can be employed across specialties with optimal integration and communication.

She began her career as an RN in 2012 and spent much of her career working in Surgical Services where she cared for many patients undergoing various urological procedures.
Vasectomy
No Scalpel Vasectomy is an in office procedure for men for elective sterilization. Prior to this procedure the patient is given a mild oral sedative and during the procedure a local anesthetic is given to the vas deferens a tubular structure that conducts sperm from the testis to the prostate. This tube is then divided to prevent the sperm from making the migration to the prostate and thereby helping to prevent future pregnancies.

Dr. Fombona is focused on providing individualized care for her patients, helping them to understand their options to reach their treatment goals. Dr. Fombona is trained in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery and experienced in the medical and surgical treatment of prostate cancer, kidney cancer, bladder cancer, kidney stone disease, urinary incontinence, benign prostatic enlargement and erectile dysfunction. She attended University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed her residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She is committed to building strong relationships with her patients and providing high-quality, up-to-date Urologic care.

Plastic Surgeons

Botox
Some men and women suffer from frequent urination. Although we have many many excellent medications to improve this condition occasionally medications are unable to alleviate a particular patient's symptoms. Botox, which has been used to help correct wrinkles in the skin can also be used to relax the bladder. By injecting small amounts of botox throughout the bladder the bladder can be made to relax and therefore decrease the urgency and frequency symptoms.

Lesions
For large tumors, recurrent cancers or high grade lesions, we will sometimes recommend intravesical therapy. This consists of placing a medication in the bladder weekly for 6 weeks. This is done in the office and takes a few minutes.
