The Brooksville Fire Department is a full-service public safety agency that offers a variety of fire rescue and prevention services. It organizes a variety of public education and special programs that help and assist the residents during the normal fire and medical emergency situations. The department works to protect the lives, property and environment from the threats and occurrences of emergencies. It undertakes fire investigations, reviews plans and conducts inspections. The Brooksville Fire Department maintains a staff of full- and part-time firefighters. In addition, the department receives and responds to request calls for emergency medical assistance. The Brooksville Fire Department has been operational since 1880 and is located in Brooksville, Fla.
