This hernando county-code enforcement is not a listings for animals up for adoption--these animals are picked up by animal control based on them having no licenses and running unleased-- I visited your Oliver St location yesterday and found out that these dogs and cats etc are destroyed after five days-This is wrong and a better system should be incorporated--using the newspaper and contacts with people where animals were picked up should be used.

I represent the concerned citizens of hernando county this issue must be addressed-during my visit yesterday I saw no over crowding in the cages and heard no barking dogs and I didn't see any cats at all--I feel that this issue is one of distruction of animals being more convenient than workers caring for them. The five day rule is cruel and must be changed. This location in Brooksville is not even listed as an animal shelter--I hope it isn't being used for medical research--we all know what that is!!!!!
