Overall
Don't waste your money

Universal emergency care is by the the worst program, learning experience, learning environment, waste of money. Compared to other programs for EMT training it is over priced for what is provided education wise and supplies. $110 deposit (non refundable, $990 for the course (non refundable) supplies not included (stethoscope, BP cuff, pen light, O2 key, pocket face mask), book not included $110, CPR card not included (certification needs to be passed in class and they were nice enough to charge us $10 for the card) $1400 before the first class, more expensive then most, and most atleast supply supplies minus the book.

Class room: dirty, broken tables, half the lights didn't work in the class room (June - August class they were never replaced) in the skills room almost no light, disorganized, over crowded some days, and new people were accepted at all different intervals of the course

Skills training/room: no light disorganized, lack of supplies, no supplies at times, broken equipment, dirty

Teaching: the class was taught how to pass the test, not so much how to be a good EMT, but how to pass, no syllabus, erratic tests, lack of continuity, two CIC's and one had no idea what the other was doing. Specifically CIC Collymore was a babbling fool in my opinion, he may have had many year experience and the title of RN/paramedic/CIC but when ever a question was asked he would either stare blankly, answer a question you didn't ask, ask if you read the book, or just point at a power point slide (which he read directly off of an called the lesson)

I took it apon my self to read the entire book myself, and teach myself the skills, and pass the EMT certification test with little help from this program.
