On December 12 my foster family brought their dog in for a dental surgery. Dr. Novick recommended a full dental for the 7 year old dog. Dr. Novick told the family to come back in a half hour after the surgery was done. They went back and their was Lulu laying fully unconscious on the operating table with her tongue stuck out. He told them it would be alright to bring the dog home at the time. They took her little body home and lay her down waiting for her to revive. An hour later she was dead. Not knowing any better the Dr. had them contribute to Lulu's death. How could they have known any better. She basically died by strangling on her blood after he pulled every tooth in her mouth. No animal SHOULD EVER BE carried out unconscious. They should be fully revived with oxegen and walk out the door.

INTUBATION vs. MASKING/CONING DOWN:

EVERY brachycephalic dog that goes under anesthesia should have an endotracheal tube (ET) placed in his or her trachea! Always! That airway must be protected at all times. The tube should be left in until they are VERY awake and trying to chew it out.

This doctor is a butcher nothing less. His office is filthy and decades in disrepair. I urge you not to use this office at any cost. We fully intend to make complaints to the proper authorities. The dog has been sent for a necropsy and we fully intend to bring this practice to a close.

Overall
Very kind

We called him at 6:30 pm after finding our dog had an ugly wound. He accepted seeing him at 8:30 pm.

He lives in the same building he has his office so it was very convenient. We found him down to earth, very kind and knowledgeable. His prices are reasonable, his office is unpretentious. We will continue seeing him in the future for all our dog's care.

Overall
very kind and understanding

The Doctor didn't try to talk me into unnecessary tests which would have cost me money that I didn't have. My cat was very ill and obviously beyond help. She wasn't very, very old but she was very, very sick and obviously suffering. I felt that the most humane thing to do was to put her down and the Doctor agreed to do what I wished. He did not take advantage of me by overcharging me. I would use this Doctor again for my other cats no matter what their problem is,even for a general exam. I would recommend this Doctor very highly.

Overall
Good Vet

I had a good experience at this vet. The place be may not be as nice looking as other places but the vet sure knows what he's doing. I took my dog there because he was vomiting and had diarrhea, he was examined very thoroughly and the vet seemed to be very honest. He even found that my dog had an infection in both ears although thats not what i took him for. The cost was also reasonable.
